Construction Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector to ensure the quality and safety of new infrastructure projects in the City of Wentzville. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in inspecting construction sites, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

• Conduct daily inspections of public and private developments, including site improvements and infrastructure such as sanitary, sewer, water, stormwater, and street systems.
• Work collaboratively with City staff, contractors, site representatives, and the public to address concerns and resolve issues that arise during construction.
• Provide respectful, professional, and positive service in all interactions with coworkers, internal and external customers, community members, and the public.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations to protect public health and safety.
• Perform tests on infrastructure to assess its quality and performance.

• Associate or Technical degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Two to five years of experience in Civil Engineering, Public Works, Construction, or a similar work environment.
• Valid driver's license required.
