About the Role

Job Summary

The Physiotherapy Specialist will be responsible for assessing patients' physical needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. Your expertise in physiotherapy will enable you to provide evidence-based interventions, educate patients on self-management techniques, and empower them to achieve optimal functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluation and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' physical limitations and develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs.
  • Treatment Delivery: Provide manual therapy, exercise programs, and other interventions to help patients recover from injuries or manage chronic conditions.
  • Patient Education and Empowerment: Educate patients on self-management techniques, promote healthy behaviors, and empower them to take an active role in their recovery.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Requirements

  • Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (or equivalent) and current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Michigan.
  • Experience: 6 months of experience in a similar role, preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
    • Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other relevant software systems.

  • Competitive Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
