This role is pivotal in overseeing a range of Information Assurance initiatives aimed at bolstering the security posture across various platforms and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead coordination of Information Assurance activities, ensuring effective responses to security assessments and findings.
- Manage the efforts of Information Assurance analysts and engineers to optimize resource utilization and achieve program objectives.
- Oversee resource and risk management, proactively identifying potential constraints and analyzing the impact of system modifications.
- Enhance stakeholder relationships through organized communication and management strategies.
- Create and maintain executive-level dashboards that convey critical project metrics, including risks, issues, and timelines.
- Develop and uphold the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) and other essential security documentation.
- Review and ensure compliance of existing governance and cybersecurity documentation with established frameworks.
- Prepare Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation packages to secure Authorization to Operate (ATO) certifications for systems.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Effectively communicate technical findings to diverse audiences, including project managers and senior leadership.
- Provide expert guidance on vulnerability and risk analysis within the cybersecurity landscape.
Work Environment: Hybrid model, allowing for remote work with occasional in-office presence.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship with an active SECRET government security clearance.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Assurance, particularly within a federal context.
- At least 2 years of experience in project management.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and associated security practices.
- Understanding of networking principles and cybersecurity tools.
- Experience in performance data analysis and metric development.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Security+ CE or equivalent certification.
- Experience with DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of host-based security systems and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Familiarity with IT security best practices and system hardening techniques.
