Pharmacy Supervisor Opportunity

SMM Health is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to join our team at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital.

About the Role

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position working on a day shift in an institutional pharmacy setting. As a Pharmacy Supervisor, you will oversee pharmacy services and personnel assigned, providing supervision and guidance to staff, clinical pharmacists, students, and residents as applicable.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Supervise staff, students, and residents, including recruitment, orientation, training, performance management, staff development, counseling, disciplining, scheduling, and conducting staff meetings.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for pharmacy operations, tracking productivity and financial data, and participating in the development of the operating budget.
  • Create and promote a positive customer service image of the practice, fostering working relationships with site leadership and physicians.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of controlled substance utilization, interventions, and billing, assisting in meeting company and departmental goals and quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain a state of legal/regulatory readiness for the department and institution, identifying patient outcomes, correlating those outcomes to clinical processes, and implementing best practices.
  • Coordinate training and education of students and residents, precepting pharmacy students and residents as applicable.
Qualifications
  • Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D or Bachelor of Pharmacy) from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • One year of experience.
  • Registration as a Pharmacist in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.
