Key Responsibilities
  • Read and follow instructions to move materials or containers
  • Open containers and prepare materials for shipment
  • Responsible for pulling parts orders, putting stock away, shipping and receiving parts
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
  • Load materials into vehicles and secure them for transport
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers
  • Operate industrial trucks and equipment
  • Stack or assemble materials into bundles and secure them
  • Lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist
  • Keep work area and warehouse clean and organized
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Up to six months related experience or training preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement, volume, and distance
  • Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral instruction
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Working Conditions

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional work in outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually loud.
