The Food Service Worker plays a vital role in maintaining a comfortable and welcoming environment for staff, patients, and families at Southern NH Medical Center. This position requires a team player who can assist in setting up and serving food from counters and steam tables, as well as cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workstations.
Key Responsibilities- Set up stations with food products and utensils as assigned.
- Service tray line station at mealtimes and stock and clean tray line position.
- Collect, clean, and sanitize soiled meal carts and food trays as assigned and return equipment to proper area once cleaned and sanitized.
- Prepare some cold food items as directed using safe food handling procedures; utilize leftovers and rotate stock appropriately.
- Cross-train to assist in the coverage for the Customer Service Worker roles and perform additional duties if requested.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred, but not required.
- ServSafe Certified preferred. We will provide certification if not achieved by time of hire.
- 2- years combined experience in food preparation, dishwashing, kitchen utility, customer service and/or cash handling preferred but not required.
