Revenue Cycle Analyst

Mendocino Community Health Clinic is seeking a highly motivated Revenue Cycle Analyst to join our team. As a Revenue Cycle Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying workflow issues and collaborating with various departments to improve processes causing delays in claims being paid.

• Attend provider meetings and provide suggestions on best practices for efficient charting to meet billing requirements.
• Assist providers who need support in closing encounters.
• Act as a liaison between the Care for Her Department, Billing, and Clinical Applications to ensure hospital claims are entered in OCHIN in the same manner as the rest of the company claims.
• Work with certified coders to streamline processes, create JIRA's, and maintain documents of key processes and workflows to maximize the efficiency of the revenue cycle.
• Provide research support to the billing team and Director of Finance related to A/R management and revenue cycle performance.
• Create, run, and compile reports for the Billing team.
• Partner with business operations leaders to drive enhanced patient registration experience and outcomes, identify areas of opportunity to increase clean claim rates, and ensure payer agreements are in line with performance objectives.
• Work towards becoming a certified coder, develop a timeline, and present to Manager and DOF.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in OCHIN and take the Billing Boot Camp course.

• Three years of related experience in a large physician group or healthcare system.
• Experience with practice management software.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPS, and ICD-10 diagnoses codes used for billing services provided by physicians, licensed non-physician practitioners, and ancillary staff.
• Certified Coder preference.
• Working knowledge of medical billing systems and Electronic Medical Record systems.

This position offers a semi-flexible schedule from Monday through Friday. You can choose between working 7 am to 4 pm or 8 am to 5 pm.
