Position Overview:
The role of the Senior Principal Engineer focuses on enhancing our interoperability solutions within the healthcare sector. This position requires collaboration with partner health IT vendors to develop and improve our Infusion Management System.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Extend existing interoperability solutions to support IHE PCD profiles.
2. Enhance integration capabilities with EHRs and other health IT systems.
3. Integrate software components into a cohesive software system.
4. Provide technical leadership and hands-on implementation of software applications and processes within established medical product design controls.
5. Conduct various types of testing including Unit, Integration, System, Performance, Load/Stress, and Regression.
6. Collaborate with internal and external teams to conduct requirements gathering, design, prototyping, and other software engineering activities.
7. Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to approved designs.
8. Work with senior leadership to enhance software engineering process efficiency.
9. Lead efforts to resolve software defects and conduct root cause analysis.
10. Mentor and guide junior staff members.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with relevant experience.
- Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing issues independently.
- Experience with integration to major EHR vendors such as Cerner, Epic, or Meditech is advantageous.
- Familiarity with HL7 v2 and IHE profiles, particularly PCD profiles, is a plus.
- Proficient in Object-Oriented design patterns within multi-tiered architectures.
- Expertise in the .Net Framework and C# is essential.
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL relational databases and TSQL.
- Experience with automated testing methodologies.
- Comfortable with connectivity protocols like TCP and HTTPS.
- Proven track record in software product development through the SDLC phases.
