Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating instrumentation systems for flight test and other applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop instrumentation systems, including data acquisition, signal conditioning, and telemetry systems.
  • Integrate instrumentation systems with flight test and other applications.
  • Develop and implement test plans and procedures for instrumentation systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure instrumentation systems meet requirements and are properly integrated.
  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of instrumentation systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • At least two years of related, professional experience.
  • Ability to develop, test, and troubleshoot data acquisition systems and other instrumentation devices.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and process specifications.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting techniques and tools, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and other common laboratory equipment.
Desired Skills
  • Master's degree from an accredited college in Engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidate must work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations.
  • Aircraft systems operations experience.
  • Previous experience with Curtiss-Wright, Safran, or similar instrumentation hardware and flight test instrumentation operations.
  • Background in related specialties: signal conditioning, transducers, data acquisition, video protocols and compression, GPS, IRIG 106, and avionics bus protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, IEEE 1394, Ethernet, and Fiber Channel.
Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedule

This position is a full-time, 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week schedule.

Pay Rate

The annual base salary range for this position is $67,400 - $129,300, depending on location.
