School Counselor

Patrick Henry Family Services Operations, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and compassionate School-Based Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our counseling team, you will play a vital role in providing professional outpatient counseling to children in a public school setting.

• Provide professional outpatient counseling to children in a public school setting
• Act as an advocate and resource to students, families, and staff by providing psychoeducation, staffing, processing, training, and linking to other resources
• Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address students' mental health needs
• Provide crisis intervention and support to students and families as needed

• Current licensure in VA as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW (LMHP-R, LMHP-E, residents and supervisees will not be considered)
• Completed master's degree in a human services related area (counseling, psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, etc.)
• At least two years of post-graduate clinical experience
• Valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and a reliable means of transportation

• Clinical experience working with young children
• Experience working in and/or with a public school setting
• Credentialed as a Play Therapist (RPT, S-RPT, or SB-RPT)
• Certifications in various methods of trauma-informed care
