Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Project Transition. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong financial expertise and analytical skills.

About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the monthly financial close process, creating and inputting journal entries, investigating and resolving incorrect posting entries. The successful candidate will also reconcile balance sheet accounts, assist with Internal/External Audits and reporting requirements, and maintain Rent Schedules and lease accounting calculations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Close Process: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a timely basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Audit Support: Assist with Internal/External Audits and reporting requirements, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Lease Accounting: Maintain Rent Schedules and lease accounting calculations to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Depreciation Calculation: Calculate depreciation using the straight-line method and record the depreciation expense in the general ledger.
  • Government Reporting: Assist with Government reporting responsibilities and payments, including preparing required reports and ensuring timely payment of taxes and fees.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 5 years accounting experience
  • Experience with Great Plains accounting system
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to build reports in GP Management Reporter
  • Collaborative work approach
