Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Direct Staffing Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing speech-language services to facilitate rehabilitation and promote health in our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish a diagnosis, identify impairments, and determine the predicted level of improvement and the time required to achieve it.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients and caregivers, and complete all related documentation and record keeping.
  • Apply therapeutic techniques in areas such as cognitive-communication, speech intelligibility, oral motor skills, swallowing disorders/dysphagia, perceptual abilities, orientation, memory, pragmatics, psychosocial expression, and functional communication.
  • Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences, and other related meetings.
  • Supervise Clinical Fellows, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel as required.
  • Coordinate the acquisition of adaptive communication devices and instruct patients in their use.
  • Facilitate identification of hearing deficits and refer for assessment, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and/or personal amplification as needed.
Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY).
  • Be licensed, certified, or credentialed, as required in the state of practice.
