Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Global InfoTek, Inc. as a key member of our infrastructure development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions to support large-scale multi-site deployments.
  • Evaluate and assess new technologies to improve platform capabilities and enhance our position as a leading provider of advanced technology solutions.
  • Automate workflows to enable continuous delivery of capabilities onto a hybrid infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues on high-traffic production systems, utilizing exceptional Linux system administration skills and expertise in cloud service monitoring.
  • Participate in design and code review processes, collaborating with product owners to coordinate infrastructure changes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify bottlenecks and improve performance of the platform, leveraging expertise in configuration/package management using tools like Terraform, Helm, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree.
  • 3+ years of experience developing production software in modern languages (Java, Python, Go, NodeJS, etc.).
  • 1+ years of experience developing containerized services on orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Mesos, Swarm, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience with agile and lean software development philosophies.
  • 1+ years of experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience with modern version control systems (Git, Subversion, Mercurial, etc.).
  • Clearable to a SECRET or above security clearance.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE or other DoD 8570 IAT II certification.
  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters across hybrid-cloud infrastructure.
  • 8+ years of experience working in Operations, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience with configuration/package management using tools like Terraform, Helm, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud service monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, FluentD, ElasticStack, etc.).
  • Exceptional proficiency in Linux system administration.
  • Ability to assist with GitLab CI pipelines.
  • Experience creating automation using APIs from Azure or Google Cloud.
