About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our Mail Intelligence team at Apple Inc. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing intelligent features in the Mail application across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and mentor a team of engineers to design, develop, and deploy intelligent features in the Mail application.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including machine learning, project management, and design, to define and implement intelligent features.
  3. Oversee the integration of new technologies into the Mail app, driving improvements in areas like search, generative features, summarization, and categorization.
  4. Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of the backend systems that power these intelligent features.
  5. Represent the Mail Intelligence team in technical and project meetings, driving alignment with broader Apple initiatives.

Requirements

  • You have a strong background in software engineering and experience leading teams.
  • You have expertise in machine learning and AI integration, particularly in building intelligent features within consumer applications.
  • You have a passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of what is possible in the Mail application.
  • You have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a team of engineers.
