Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care, adhering to established procedures, standards, and protocols.
- Assess patient history, physiological, and psychosocial status to develop individualized care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Comply with Joint Commission's national patient safety goals and organizational quality dashboard/benchmarking goals.
- Participate in activities aligned with the Magnet Model, including peer review and professional development.
- Perform as a preceptor, providing guidance and support to new staff members.
- Provide patient and family education throughout the care process.
- Utilize critical thinking to formulate and implement care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications safely and effectively, adhering to established protocols.
- Monitor patients with thrombolytic agents and recognize potential complications.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and provide appropriate interventions.
- 1 year of critical care experience or completion of a critical care course accredited by the AACN and California BRN.
- Registered Nurse License.
- ACLS Certification.
- NIHSS Stroke Certification.
$48.66 - $78.11 per hour.
