Overview:
The Radiology Technologist will proficiently operate across multiple imaging modalities within a healthcare facility, requiring minimal supervision.
This role encompasses various imaging techniques, including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Special Procedures, Nuclear Medicine, PACS, and Mammography, to deliver precise diagnostic evaluations and facilitate potential interventional procedures.
The technologist will undertake a range of technical tasks that necessitate independent judgment and will be accountable for specific areas or procedures as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upholds the standards of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Exhibits proficiency in diverse diagnostic procedures across multiple modalities.
- After completing procedures, the technologist ensures the computer is programmed to finalize the exam and that all scan data is accurately archived on an optical disc for future reference.
- Organizes and prioritizes tasks throughout the workday to ensure high-quality patient care and continuity.
- Verifies that all charges are accurately coded and entered into the billing system.
- Demonstrates competence with all age-specific populations to guarantee the proper execution of studies.
- Adheres to all policies, procedures, and standards as mandated by state and federal regulations, the healthcare facility, and other governing bodies.
- Conducts all duties in a manner that safeguards patient confidentiality and refrains from soliciting or disclosing any confidential information.
- Embodies the core values of CHRISTUS Health.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or an equivalent recognized institution. ARRT, RT (R), or other relevant Registries as per the scope of practice are required.
Must hold a current registration or be registry-eligible in a secondary modality and fulfill the requirements for registration within two years of commencing work in that modality.
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical or hospital environment is preferred, with three (3) years of experience in a clinical imaging setting being highly desirable. Registered by the (ARRT)American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Current state licensure is required. Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification is also required. Work Schedule:
