Position Overview:

Join Piper Maddox as a Lead Development Engineer within our Renewable & Clean Power division. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the advancement of large-scale solar, onshore wind, and energy storage initiatives throughout the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Assessment: Analyze potential locations and offer technical feasibility insights.
  • Project Architecture: Develop initial designs, enhance system configurations, and conduct energy yield evaluations.
  • Financial Analysis: Supply technical data for financial assessments, including energy production predictions and budget estimates.
  • Consultant Oversight: Manage technical consultants for environmental, permitting, and engineering requirements.
  • Due Diligence Support: Assist in project acquisitions by examining data and coordinating technical assessments.
  • Financial Oversight: Supervise the Independent Engineer process during financial closure and ensure timely report submissions.
  • Engagement with Stakeholders: Facilitate technical discussions with landowners, officials, and potential energy buyers.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in infrastructure and renewable energy design, particularly in solar and wind sectors.
  • Experience collaborating with developers or independent power producers (IPPs).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, ArcGIS, PVSyst, pvDesign, and PVCase is preferred.

Willingness to travel is a necessary aspect of this role.
