Job Overview: As a Cashier at Home Depot, you will play a critical customer service role by providing fast, friendly, accurate and safe service to our customers. You will process transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $17.50-$18.50 per hour, depending on the location and position offered.

About the Job: In this role, you will work closely with your team to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed to minimize shrink. A Head Cashier will support you by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions, and providing first-level escalation for customer issues. You will also participate in the training of new Cashiers and utilize tools to coach and develop other Front End Associates.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Cash Handling: Accurately process transactions, handle customer payments, and manage cash drawer.
  • Sales and Customer Service: Proactively seek product knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities.
  • Self-Checkout Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth operation.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with other Cashiers and Head Cashiers to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.


Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have 1+ year of Cashier experience and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.
