Hydraulic Sealing Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee innovative product development with a focus on integrating sealing technology within hydraulic systems.
- Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives for hydraulic components, addressing customer performance challenges and collaborating with global sealing partners to advance new technologies.
- Utilize a blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and project leadership to enhance sealing solutions.
- Assume design control for hydraulic sealing products across the organization, ensuring alignment with customer expectations regarding cost, quality, and delivery.
- Engage in various NPI development projects, New Technology Integration (NTI) efforts, and initiatives aimed at improving product cost and quality.
- Work closely with supplier representatives, purchasing teams, and manufacturing units to achieve product velocity, quality, and cost objectives, while conducting supplier audits and validating processes.
- Address field failures by analyzing warranty claims and manufacturing issues.
- Prepare detailed parts analysis and technical documentation as required.
- Provide mentorship and training to global teams on hydraulic sealing products and their applications.
- Tailor documentation and presentations to suit the audience effectively.
- Employ troubleshooting methodologies to identify and resolve technical issues within a manufacturing context.
- Establish reporting protocols and develop monitoring mechanisms.
Required Qualifications
- Project Management: Proficient in project management methodologies; capable of planning, organizing, and controlling projects to optimize resource utilization and achieve objectives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in an accredited engineering discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years in the industry.
- Advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) in an accredited engineering field.
- Background in Polymer/Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in polymer application engineering and familiarity with global sourcing and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of applications in mining and construction equipment.
- Experience in hydraulic component design and development, particularly with cylinder applications.
