About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Medication Aide to join our team at BrightSpring Health Services. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group or independent living home-like setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered medications and treatments within the scope of permissible Medication Aide responsibilities.
• Complete required observations with the Medication Aide Registered Nurse to maintain certification.
• Consult with the Medication Aide Registered Nurse concerning PRN medications, medication stock, and all other matters requiring RN consultation.
• Utilize electronic medication administration records and other forms of charting.
• Travel to assigned locations to administer medications per physician's orders.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medication Technician (preferred)
• High school degree/GED required
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work in group home or independent living home-like settings.
• Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
• Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time
• Must maintain state regulatory certifications, as required by state/program requirements

Additional Job Information

The Qualified Medication Aide will work in a 20-bed facility passing medications, in addition to other duties as assigned.
