We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Asset Manager to join our team at Prologis Management LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical performance and operations & maintenance of our distributed generation renewable energy assets in the US.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze the performance of renewable energy assets, identifying any deviations from expected performance levels and implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinate inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of assets, maximizing energy production and minimizing downtime.
- Collect and analyze data related to asset performance, energy production, and maintenance activities to generate monthly reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Manage O&M agreements, including negotiations, compliance monitoring, vendor management, invoice approval, documentation, and administering contractual guarantees.
- Define and manage the technical handover from construction to operations, onboarding new systems onto the monitoring platform, researching and exploring best industry practices and new technology for monitoring and O&M, and establishing and implementing a spare parts management system and strategy.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with asset operations, including technical failures and health and safety.
- Availability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- 5+ years of direct experience managing or operating solar assets.
- Strong understanding of technical operations of Solar and/or Battery energy storage projects, including performance optimization.
- Experience in managing contracts, including negotiation, compliance monitoring, and vendor management.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Excel or specialized software for energy monitoring and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field, or equivalent experience.
- Field experience is highly valued, but not required.
- Experience working directly with large multinational customers.
