At DispatchHealth Management, we're redefining healthcare delivery through mobile and virtual healthcare. As a Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care Specialist, you'll join our team of experienced professionals who share a passion for transforming the healthcare landscape.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with our DispatchHealth Medical Technicians (DHMTs) to deliver comprehensive care in the patient's home, utilizing our innovative in-home care service lines.
  • Perform thorough health assessments, diagnose, and treat complex illnesses, leveraging your expertise and critical thinking skills.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, such as splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures, ensuring the highest quality of care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly, maintaining the integrity of our clinical records.
  • Analyze test data to diagnose, treat, and arrange follow-up care, ensuring continuity of care for our patients.
  • Educate patients and families on managing their acute illness and promoting overall well-being.
  • Navigate complex conversations related to end-of-life issues and goals of care with empathy and compassion.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, primary care providers, and other stakeholders involved in patient care.
  • Identify and proactively solve problems, adhering to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics.
  • Provide care with cultural competency, empathy, and compassion, upholding our commitment to delivering trusted, compassionate care.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, or other relevant areas.
  • Graduate with an advanced degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Nationally board certified, current.
  • Current BLS required, ACLS certification preferred.
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
