Position Summary
The Senior Automotive Service Technician role requires your extensive experience and technical proficiency to diagnose and repair complex automotive systems. You will leverage your leadership and mentoring abilities to guide a team towards enhanced customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Compensation: $47.92 per hour
Our technicians benefit from a performance-based compensation structure known as flat-rate pay, which rewards skilled professionals with a fixed amount for each completed task, promoting efficiency and ensuring fair compensation for your expertise and commitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
- Clearly communicate technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to customers with non-technical backgrounds.
- Stay updated with evolving automotive technologies through ongoing paid training.
- Assist and mentor fellow technicians in executing technical tasks.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to operate customer and company vehicles.
- A minimum of 5 years of automotive repair experience, completion of a Vocational-Technical School program in a related field, or equivalent skills validated through third-party certifications.
- A.S.E. certification in at least 5 of the A1-A8 categories (L1 may count as one of the five) is mandatory. New hires with similar qualifications must comply within 2 years of employment.
- Maintain necessary Federal, State, and Local certifications/licenses as required.
- Ability to convey technical information to individuals without a mechanical background.
- Proficient reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
