Language Arts Instructor

Hilton Head Christian Academy is a Christ-centered, college preparatory school serving students in grades K-12. Our mission is to educate and equip students to serve God and others through academic excellence and spiritual growth.

We are seeking an experienced Middle and Upper School English Teacher & Mentor to join our faculty. This is a full-time position that requires a deep commitment to teaching and mentoring students in grades 6-12.

1. Teach English Language Arts

Deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners, using a variety of instructional strategies and materials.

Provide individualized support and guidance to students, helping them develop critical thinking skills and achieve their academic goals.

Create curriculum units that integrate Christian worldview principles and promote critical thinking skills, aligning with our school's educational philosophy.

Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members to develop and implement curriculum initiatives, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in teaching and mentoring, contributing to the growth and improvement of our academy.

• Bachelor's degree in English or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• 3-5 years of teaching experience in middle and upper school settings
• Strong knowledge of English language arts curriculum and instructional strategies
• Ability to mentor students and provide individualized support
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Competitive salary range of $65,000-$85,000 per year
