Ramboll is seeking a highly skilled Senior Air Consultant to join our interdisciplinary New England team. As a key member of our Environment and Health department, you will work with a diverse group of experts to deliver complex projects and provide exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate air emissions and conduct engineering evaluations of air pollution sources
- Conduct computer modeling of air pollution dispersion
- Perform statistical and geospatial analyses of air quality data
- Analyze pollution control measures
- Conduct air monitoring and indoor air quality analysis
- Prepare air quality permit applications and environmental impact reports
- Critically review and interpret local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Maintain client relationships and manage the development of deliverables to meet client needs in an efficient manner
- Serve as the technical lead overseeing Consultant-level staff on complex projects
- Provide mentoring to junior staff
- BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline (chemical, environmental, mechanical, or closely related) or science discipline (atmospheric science, environmental science, chemistry, physics, or closely related)
- Strong mathematical/computational skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing
- 6+ years of relevant air quality permitting and/or air quality compliance experience
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills
- Experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports
- Strong computing skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing
- Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organization skills
- Demonstrated capabilities in understanding, interpreting, and applying environmental regulations to real-world situations
- Programming, database and GIS skills are preferred but not required
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision
- EIT or P.E. certifications a plus
