Overview:
Yamhill County is seeking two dedicated professionals for the role of Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)/Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician. In this capacity, you will engage in various responsibilities primarily within the community, delivering crisis intervention and de-escalation services in collaboration with law enforcement, criminal justice partners, and community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to program planning and development.
- Engage in concurrent and collaborative documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) alongside clients.
- Potentially involve care coordination, case management, crisis intervention, skills training, and providing or participating in training and educational programs.
- Undertake necessary administrative tasks as directed by the program supervisor/manager.

This position may be filled at a lower classification level as a Behavioral Health Clinician.

Compensation Range:
- Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician: $6078- $7702/month (dependent on experience)
- Behavioral Health Clinician: $5830- $7136/month (dependent on experience)

Work Schedule:
Available shifts may vary, including swing and overnight shifts.

Qualifications:
An MSW or a master's degree in a relevant social services field from an accredited institution is required, along with:

For Behavioral Health Clinician:
  • One year of experience as a Human Services Specialist I or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Must qualify as a QMHP or CADC to work in respective fields.
  • Licensing may be required.
For Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician:
  • Three years of post-master's experience.
  • Must hold an active professional license in Oregon as a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) or be a non-licensed QMHP with dual credentialing as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I, II, or III).

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of community mental health service techniques and demonstrate the following abilities:
  • Understanding the behavior of individuals under stress.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with clients, families, community members, law enforcement, and public/private administrators.
  • Interpreting community mental health and chemical dependency services.
  • Preparing thorough and accurate client treatment and progress documentation.

Typing and computer proficiency is essential for collaborative documentation. Excellent communication skills, dependability, organization, self-direction, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are crucial.
