In this position, you will be tasked with the installation, upkeep, and repair of underground fiber optic cabling for various client projects.


As a vital member of the Underground Fiber Optic Installation team, you will collaborate closely with fellow team members to ensure the effective implementation of underground cabling systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Excavating trenches and installing conduits.
  • Pulling and splicing fiber optic cables within underground conduits.
  • Conducting tests and quality assurance checks on installed cables and connections.
  • Repairing and maintaining underground cabling systems as required.
  • Adhering to safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to achieve project objectives.
  • Keeping precise records of work activities and completed projects.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in the installation and maintenance of underground cabling.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to underground cabling.
  • Experience in trench excavation and conduit installation.
  • Proficiency in pulling and splicing fiber optic cables.
  • Knowledge of testing and quality assurance methods for fiber optic systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow directives.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
