About the Role

The Detroit Medical Center is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Perform diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality images for radiologists to interpret.
  • Patient Care: Verify patient identity, review medical records, and assess patient risk factors to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Communication: Explain procedures to patients, including risks, benefits, and alternatives, and provide post-care instructions.
  • Equipment Operation: Set up and operate imaging equipment, including specialized equipment and computers, to produce high-quality images.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement activities, including reject-repeat analysis and patient satisfaction initiatives.
  • Education and Training: Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (RT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CV).
  • Education: One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology.
  • Skills: Analytical and clinical skills, interpersonal and communication skills, technical knowledge, and ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
