Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability and security of our systems.
  • Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Maintain baseline system security according to organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment to ensure secure and controlled access.
  • Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
  • Install, update, and troubleshoot systems and servers to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Comply with organization systems administration standard operating procedures to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Implement and enforce local network usage policies and procedures to ensure secure and responsible use of company resources.
  • Manage system and server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability to ensure optimal utilization.
  • Monitor and maintain system and server configurations to ensure security and compliance.
  • Perform repairs on faulty system and server hardware to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems to ensure seamless operation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 15 years' experience as a System Administrator, OR High school diploma and 20 years' experience as a System Administrator.
  • Experience with Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Familiarity with Linux Server Administration.
  • Familiarity with VMware/ESXi, VMWare Virtual Networking, and VMware vCenter.
  • Networking Switching and Router Management.
  • Storage Management (NetApp).
  • Hardware and Operating System troubleshooting.
  • System hardening.
  • Security Compliance Scanning (Nessus, ACAS).
  • Understanding of project design within the scope of security (RMF) requirements.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
  • Active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g. CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP).
  • Ability to demonstrate cyber/IT related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem solving.
