About the RoleThis 13-week assignment will involve working as a Travel Occupational Therapist, providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages with physical, mental, or developmental challenges.

- Assessment and Evaluation
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand patient needs, strengths, limitations, and goals.
- Use standardized tests, interviews, and observations to evaluate physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities.
- Develop comprehensive evaluation reports identifying areas for improvement and required interventions.
- Developing Treatment Plans
- Create personalized treatment plans based on assessment results, addressing specific patient needs.
- Set measurable goals for improvement in self-care, mobility, work performance, and cognitive skills.
- Recommend therapeutic activities and exercises tailored to the patient's abilities and progress.
- Providing Therapeutic Interventions
- Implement individualized therapy programs to improve motor skills, cognitive function, sensory processing, and social interaction.
- Teach patients new ways to complete tasks and daily activities, including recommendations for ergonomic practices and assistive devices.
- Patient Education and Support
- Educate patients and families about rehabilitation techniques and strategies for enhancing functional independence.
- Provide guidance on using adaptive equipment and tools (e.g., splints, mobility aids).
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with healthcare professionals, including doctors, physical therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff.
- Participate in care planning meetings and share insights about patient progress and therapy requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress, therapy sessions, and any modifications made to treatment plans.
- Document and report patient progress in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Rehabilitation and Recovery
- Monitor and reassess patient progress regularly to ensure therapy goals are being met.
- Adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient feedback and progress.
- Advocacy and Community Resources
- Advocate for patients to ensure access to necessary resources and support services.
- Provide patients and families with information about community programs and support groups.
