The primary objective of the Nutritional Services Coordinator role is to support the healthcare facility by providing consultation, guidance, and planning in the realm of clinical nutrition. This is done in alignment with the prevailing federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, as directed by the Administrator, to ensure that high-quality nutritional services are delivered consistently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in establishing a system to identify residents at elevated nutritional risk in accordance with facility policies and refer these individuals to the supervising dietitian as necessary.
- Facilitate nutritional care through a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach.
- Provide nutritional advice based on current dietary principles, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
- Complete accident and incident reports following the facility's established policies and procedures.
- Assist in formulating corrective action plans for any dietary service deficiencies identified during inspections.
- Contribute to the facility-specific Quality Assurance Program Improvement (QAPI) initiatives as directed.
- Support the execution of facility dining programs and processes.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a dietetic technician program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics, along with at least a two-year associate's degree, OR completion of coursework in an ACEND-accredited didactic or coordinated program in dietetics with at least a bachelor's degree.
- A preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in dietetics, particularly within a long-term care environment.
