Seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Part-Time Educational Specialist to join our team at the Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie County.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced teacher to provide academic instruction to our 21st Century club members in a part-time capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons in core subjects, including reading, English language arts, science, and mathematics. Additionally, they will be expected to develop and implement STEM curricula, manage materials and equipment, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality educational programs for 21st Century club members, focusing on core subjects and STEM education.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans, ensuring a hands-on and engaging learning experience for students.
  • Manage materials, equipment, and time efficiently, interpreting data to inform instructional planning.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reporting progress to the School Based Club Director as needed.
  • Support the development of 21st Century club members' technological skills, promoting their growth and achievement.
  • Collaborate with the School Based Club Director to communicate effectively with parents, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Perform other duties as required, including setup, planning, and support for various projects.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience. Strong supervisory, communication, and leadership skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will also be proficient in Microsoft Office, have excellent organizational and time management skills, and be able to handle confidential information with discretion.

Salary and Benefits:

This part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25 and up, depending on experience. Benefits include opportunities for professional growth, a supportive work environment, and the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of our 21st Century club members.

Location:

Our offices, neighborhood clubhouses, and school-based clubs are strategically located in areas of St. Lucie County where youth need us most. Flexibility to work different schedules and locations is required due to changing business demands.

Travel:

Some travel may be required for training and other business purposes.

Working Conditions:
