Operating Room Registered Nurse Specialist

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is seeking highly skilled Operating Room Registered Nurses to support the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. As a key member of the surgical team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the success of our customers.
Responsibilities:- Function as an integral member of the surgical team, working collaboratively with patients, surgeons, and anesthesia staff.
- Implement the pre-operative plan of care, demonstrating knowledge of the responsibilities of the RN pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.
- Scrubs and circulates surgical procedures independently, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Supervise care given and services rendered in the OR by other professional and non-professional staff.
- Responsible for maintenance, care, and use of equipment used, applying principles of asepsis, therapeutic, and technical knowledge.
- Assists in orientation of rotating surgical and anesthesia residents, and other nursing staff.
- Documents nursing interventions incorporating use of Deliverex, DHCP, and GUI.
- Provides family and patient teaching.
- US Citizen
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing in the English language
- 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted licensure as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the US or in the District of Columbia
- AHA BLS
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be kept up to date at all times.
Pay Range: $51.71 - $144.00 hourly. All candidates must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift. Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist. Lift up to 20 lbs. Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance. Push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
