Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg team. As a critical care nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and responding to urgent clinical situations across the hospital. You will be a key resource for clinical teams, working closely with the Administrative Director and building strong relationships with providers.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with providers and escalate care as needed to ensure patient outcomes.
- Assist with assessments, mentoring, and provide expert advice to clinical staff.
- Respond to MEWS and high-risk patient calls, providing real-time critical support.
- Round on high-risk patients and assist with sepsis screening and rapid response reassessments.
- Facilitate clinical debriefs and closed-loop communication for continuity of care.

Requirements

- RN with advanced critical care or emergency care required.
- 4+ years of critical care or emergency room RN experience preferred.
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. - BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification (American Heart Association) required.
