The Radiologic Technologist MRI operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge and understanding of the principles and physics of magnetic resonance imaging.
Responsibilities include selecting appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete the exam.
Key duties include receiving patients, explaining the method of examination, and positioning the patient.
Performing IV puncture and administering IV contrast agent when indicated is also required.
Independently performing and completing routine examinations is essential.
Requirements include an Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or one year minimum related experience and/or training, required.
