Library Assistant

The Library Technical Assistant (Safety) is a critical role within the State of California's correctional system. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the library, providing support to inmates, and maintaining a secure environment.

• Supervise and maintain order in the library, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for inmates and staff.
• Provide technical support and assistance to inmates, including helping with research, accessing digital resources, and using library equipment.
• Assist with inventory management, record-keeping, and reporting to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
• Collaborate with library staff and other departments to promote a positive and rehabilitative environment.
• Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
