Job Title: Part-Time Faculty Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Faculty Instructor to join our team at the University of Southern Maine. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to teach and mentor students in our Counseling program.

Job Summary:

The University of Southern Maine's Counselor Education Program is seeking a part-time Lecturer for our Spring 2025 semester. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for course delivery and grading. We are seeking a student-focused instructor who will have the ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach and mentor students in our Counseling program
  • Develop and implement course curriculum
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote student success
Requirements:
  • Masters in Counseling
  • Active clinical licensure (LCPC, LMFT, LCSW or Licensed Psychologist)
  • Previous experience in teaching or training
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child and adult development
