As a Surgical Pathology Technologist at University Hospitals, you will play a vital role in the diagnostic process. Your primary duties will include dissecting, preparing, and dictating gross descriptions of surgical pathology specimens for diagnostic processing. You will also participate in laboratory support functions, ensuring the smooth operation of our pathology department.
Additional Responsibilities
In addition to your core responsibilities, you will perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor. This may include complying with all policies and standards, maintaining the confidentiality of patient information, and adhering to our code of conduct. You will also be required to complete annual training on the proper handling and maintenance of protected health information (PHI).
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and organizational skills. You will be required to maintain accurate records and reports, and to adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
