Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in the Miami, FL area. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for operating specialized imaging equipment to create high-quality images of various parts of the body.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proper equipment settings and capture images according to physician specifications.
  • Review images for clarity and identify areas of concern.
  • Prepare the exam room before and after procedures, ensuring patient safety, sterilization protocols, and comfort.
  • Document patient data in logs and maintain complete, relevant information in RIS, PACS, and other reporting systems.
  • Recognize and document medical necessity, including signs, symptoms, and relevant history.
  • Maintain sonography equipment and review supplies and probe sterilization.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as form completion, area labeling, and log maintenance.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure quality and minimize repeat procedures.
  • Verify patient identity and confirm orders based on physician prescriptions.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Provide thorough imaging and written documentation for high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Breast Trained Imaging HIGHLY Preferred
  • Preferred certification in various types of ultrasounds (e.g., ObGyn, Vascular, Breast and Abdominal)
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Associate degree in Sonography ARDMS Certified
