Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in a Primary Care setting. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepares patient and treatment rooms, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patient care
Rooms patients, obtains health history, and measures and documents vital signs
Assists physicians with minor, in-office procedures and performs routine laboratory tests
Schedules appointments, completes prior authorizations, and processes medication refills
Maintains all Practice Health and Safety Standards and complies with Medical Assistant Certification Procedure

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Medical Assistant diploma, technical certificate, or certification
OR 4+ months of experience performing the critical skills of a Medical Assistant after on-the-job training
Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA) or must be willing to attain that certification within 9 months of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA)
CPR certification
Bilingual in Spanish
Experience with NextGen or other electronic medical record (EMR) software
