Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team at Sterling Engineering. As an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing EHS performance within assigned facilities, developing and implementing EHS programs and policies, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead EHS Initiatives: Develop and implement safety campaigns, conduct audits, and provide training to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Verify that all facilities are in compliance with environmental regulations and company standards.
  • Investigate Accidents and Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with Operations: Work closely with operations teams to identify and mitigate EHS risks.
  • Provide EHS Guidance and Support: Offer expert advice and support to facility management on EHS-related matters.
  • Manage EHS Budget and Resources: Oversee the EHS budget and ensure that resources are allocated effectively.
  • Foster a Strong Safety Culture: Promote a culture of safety within the organization by leading by example and encouraging open communication.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health: A degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
