Position Overview
The Nurse Manager is responsible for understanding the physical, social, emotional, and psychological needs of gerontological residents. This understanding is derived from careful observation, feedback from staff, and the health care requirements of the residents.

The role includes overseeing and guiding the nursing staff during the assigned shift, making administrative decisions in accordance with facility policies and nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to DHSS, OSHA, and Nursing Practice Standards, along with other regulatory requirements within the healthcare facility.

- Provide direction to the Nursing Supervisor and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.

Qualifications
- Degree in Nursing (RN or LPN) with a current license in the state of employment.

- IV Certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.

- CPR/AED Certification or commitment to become certified within six months of hire.

- Preferred: Two years of supervisory experience in long-term care.

- Three to five years of experience in long-term care or similar nursing roles.

- Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with patients, visitors, and staff.

- Strong organizational skills to manage time and daily schedules to meet productivity expectations.
