Position Overview:

As a Welder at Skyline, you will be tasked with the layout, fitting, and welding/fabrication of steel parts to construct robust structural forms.

While formal welding certification is not mandatory, candidates must successfully complete a weld test and exhibit accuracy in measuring. Proficiency in MIG welding is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select appropriate equipment and strategize layout, assembly, and welding procedures
  • Position, align, and secure components for welding
  • Utilize bolting, clamping, and tack-welding to hold parts in place
  • Set up machinery and execute welding tasks using MIG techniques
  • Assemble components through bolting and riveting methods
  • Repair and modify products by disassembling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
  • Exhibit skills in steel fabrication
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Pass a weld test, background check, and drug screening
  • Engage in physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting and material handling
