Custodian Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodian Supervisor to join our team at Cobb County School District. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the total custodial program of our schools, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and Assist: Assign duties, supervise, and assist in the total custodial program of the school, ensuring that all areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Problem Solving: Identify and report problem areas to the Head Custodian II, and work collaboratively to resolve issues.
• Equipment and Supplies: Oversee the proper use and storage of all equipment and supplies, ensuring that they are in good working condition and easily accessible.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform minor maintenance and repairs as needed, ensuring that all facilities are in good condition.
• Communication: Provide clear and concise communication to staff and management, ensuring that all needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
• On-Call Support: Provide periodic 24-hour on-call support, ensuring that all facilities are secure and well-maintained at all times.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum one year of CCSD custodial experience or minimum three years of custodial experience outside CCSD.
• Certification/License: None required.
• Physical Activities: Routine physical activities required to fulfill job responsibilities, including walking, standing, kneeling, negotiating stairs and ladders, lifting and transporting 75 pounds over short distances.
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication, leadership, cleaning, operation of cleaning equipment.

Working Conditions: This is a full-time position, working a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
