Job Title: CT Technologist

Unit: Jamestown ED Medical Imaging

Shift: Full Time-Days (12 -hour shifts) 7:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

Facility: MVH

**Sign on Bonus eligible, up to $30K**

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our team at Premier Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist on patients of all ages according to established protocols and evaluates CT studies for technical image quality.
  • Obtain clinical history and data for correlation with the CT procedure.
  • Implement screening and safety measures in accordance with prescribed CT policies / procedures. Perform daily and weekly QC as required.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media to the patient according to policy. Practice sterile techniques.
  • Assist Radiologist in special procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations.
  • Coordinate patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction
  • Assess learning needs and educate patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs. Thoroughly educate patients about exam.
  • Ensure that all records, files and reports are properly recorded as required, perform clerical duties when necessary, verify a signed physician order is received and corresponds with the billed procedure.
  • Maintain knowledge of the locations and operation of all emergency equipment in the unit.
  • Follow radiation safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must be certified as a CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
