Substance Abuse Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at the Community Service Board of Middle Georgia. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a critical role in providing quality behavioral healthcare services to individuals struggling with substance abuse.

• Provide direct and collateral substance abuse services in a group setting, utilizing evidence-based interventions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the goals of the program and agency are met.
• Facilitate substance abuse groups and provide individualized counseling sessions as needed.
• Complete all required documentation in a timely manner according to departmental and agency standards.
• Provide support to substance abuse clients and assist with recovery resources.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Level II Clinical Certification(s) required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.

• Prior supervisory experience.
• CADC II Certification.
• Level II Clinical Certification(s) - GACA/ADACBGA Certifications.
