As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our acute medical setting. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will perform specialized procedures, provide functional direction to ancillary personnel, and participate in the planning and provision of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides care for assigned patients, under the supervision of an RN, according to established standards and nursing process.
- Performs admission assessments and ongoing re-assessments based on departmental specific policy and procedures.
- Assists in the development of a prioritized interdisciplinary plan of care on each patient.
- Implements and coordinates plan of care utilizing appropriate organizational skills and reporting mechanisms.
- Performs assigned clinical procedures, including phlebotomy, injections, and drug screens.
- Administers medications and orders/restocks supplies as assigned.
- Maintains neatness and cleanliness in assigned areas.
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required
- Arrhythmia certification: Preferred
