Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance and Control Supervisor is responsible for managing all activities related to Quality Assurance and Quality Control. This role encompasses the development and maintenance of systems that ensure all products meet established site policies, procedures, and specifications. The supervisor will oversee the Quality Control laboratory and its equipment, manage quality-related investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. Additionally, this position plays a crucial role in maintaining ISO 9001 compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update quality management standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Oversee the Quality Control Laboratory, including personnel management, training, and performance evaluations.
- Facilitate compliance activities for ISO and cGMP standards, providing necessary training.
- Ensure the laboratory operates efficiently and safely, managing equipment calibration and maintenance.
- Maintain product specifications, including raw materials and packaging.
- Lead investigations related to quality issues, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage internal audits and customer compliance audits, addressing any nonconformities.
- Maintain the SAP quality management module, including Certificate of Analysis (COA) generation.
- Ensure qualification and validation protocols for equipment and analytical methods are executed.
- Participate in corporate quality initiatives and implement them at the local level.
Technical Skills and Duties:
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Assign and oversee work duties for laboratory staff, providing training as needed.
Compliance Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Promptly report all health, safety, and environmental incidents.
- Act responsibly and safely at all times.
Problem Solving and Innovation:
- Engage actively in continuous improvement efforts.
- Recommend modifications to SOPs and suggest new equipment to enhance productivity.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with 3-5 years of experience in quality systems management, preferably in chemical manufacturing.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and familiar with SAP and Process Mapping.
Experience:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Ability to address practical problems and adapt to changing situations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
- Familiarity with HPLC, UV/Vis, GC, and FTIR techniques is advantageous.
