Job Title: Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team at Compass Minerals America Inc. in Franklin, LA.

Job Summary:

The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, fixtures, and other electrical devices and systems in an underground mining and stationary infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems in the mine and surface infrastructures
  • Electronic testing and inspections
  • Installing and maintaining conveyor systems, crushers, feeders, screens, power centers, etc.
  • Other duties as required and other commercial and residential components
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Completion of Apprenticeship Program or Technical Trade School, preferred
  • 5 years' Experience in Electrical Field
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code
  • Experience in High Voltage Termination and Splices
  • Experience reading Electrical Schematics
  • Experience with PLC System, maintenance troubleshooting

Work Environment:

The Electrician will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, working at heights/high altitudes, and abnormally high ambient temperatures. The employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols at all times.
