Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled OB Technician to join our Labor and Delivery team at UC Health. As an OB Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our registered nurses in the provision of basic patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist registered nurses in the provision of basic patient care
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of reasons for tests, procedures, treatments, and potential signs and symptoms of complications
  • Provide physical, psycho/social, safety, cultural, and spiritual care to patients
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high acuity patients
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED required
  • BLS certification within 60 days of hire
  • STNA preferred; successful passage of 80 hours of State Tested Nurse Aide Training; 40 hours of Acute Medical-Surgical Training, Specialty Training, and Hospital Specific Training or a Student from an NLN accredited RN program having successfully completed one Medical-Surgical rotation or another acute rotation
  • Medical Assistant or previous operating room experience preferred
